You NEED To Be Building Self-Confidence! Period.
How do you begin building self-confidence? That is a good question! Well if you want to change ANYTHING in your life and create a new habit, then through my experience and research, it takes 90 days of consistency. The question is, are you willing to devote 90 days or 3 months to doing something you aren’t used to doing? That is exactly what it will take.
Building Self-Confidence Isn’t Hard.
Now that you know what you have to do to make the change that you want to make within yourself, let’s write it out on paper. Write out a day to day chart filling in at least three things you will do every single day to build your self-confidence. These things just have to e something that you aren’t used to doing on a regular basis. If you normally don’t speak in front of a room full of people and the opportunity presents itself, take on the task. If you normally don’t spark up a conversation with a random stranger, just make it your duty to do so. I’ve learned that in order to grow you must do the things that feel uncomfortable to you. When the point arrives that those things are no longer uncomfortable, then you have just grown as a person. You want to make sure that you are tackling these things head on to be building self-confidence within yourself.
The more you act, the less you think. You want to make sure that you are putting your list into action every single day! Remember, this is a 90 day challenge. After the 90 days are over, I can assure you that you would’ve built a self-confidence level that you can be extremely proud of. I found many quotes that I’d like to share with you that I’m positive can help you on your quest to building self-confidence.
Nobody can make you feel inferior without your consent. ~Eleanor Roosevelt
A successful person is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks that others throw at him or her. ~David Brinkley
Confidence comes not from always being right but from not fearing to be wrong. ~Peter T. Mcintyre
Whether you think you can or think you can’t – you are right. ~Henry Ford
The latter of the quotes is actually one of my favorites. Do not get caught up in using words like I can’t, or that’s impossible, because the second you use them is the second your belief was lost. I think that if you just keep in mind that doubt is only created from inaction, than you will be fine. Your ability to sit and reflect or think about what you are trying to do is what you have to be afraid of! It is absolutely insane what the mind can make you believe about yourself. Don’t get in your own way. Push yourself if you need to!
Why do you need to be building self-confidence?
Personally, I feel like if you’re aren’t confident in yourself, then you are greatly limiting your success potential. The most successful people in this world a lot of the times are also some of the most confident. The most successful people are also leaders. Confidence and leadership kind of go hand and hand. Leaders are leaders because they have the ability to help others to believe in themselves. They help other people to build the self-confidence and find something within themselves that they didn’t even know existed! No one wants to follow that lacks self-confidence. How can they learn to believe in themselves if you don’t even believe in yourself? The answer is, they can’t! Now if you want major success in your life, then you must be building self-confidence!
